SchaeferRolls increase crane capacity at production facility in Renningen,
Germany
As part of its investment measures, SchaeferRolls GmbH & Co. KG has again increased its crane capacity at its Renningen plant. The
installation of a new overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 50 t required
the strengthening of crane girders and the building structure. The new crane
and the two existing 25 t overhead cranes in the shop floors now make it
possible to move rolls and roller systems with unit weights of up to 100 t when
the three cranes work together. This means that the production areas at
SchaeferRolls now fully meet the prerequisites for coating and servicing the
largest and heaviest roll systems used in modern industrial machines.
The upgraded crane system has significantly increased the flexibility of the
company's production facilities.
